Barack Obama confirms drone strikes in Pakistan

US President Barack Obama has confirmed for the first time that American drones have targeted Taliban and Al-Qaeda militants on Pakistani soil, a programme that has escalated under his administration. Asked about drones in a chat with web users on Google+ and YouTube, Mr Obama said "a lot of these strikes have been in the FATA" - Pakistan's semi-autonomous Federally Administered Tribal Areas on the Afghan border. "For the most part, they've been very precise precision strikes against Al-Qaeda and their affiliates, and we're very careful in terms of how it's been applied," Mr Obama said. "This is a targeted focused effort at people who are on a list of active terrorists, who are trying to go in and harm Americans, hit American facilities, American bases, and so on." He said that many strikes were carried out "on Al-Qaeda operatives in places where the capacities of that military in that country may not be able to get them", such as Pakistan's lawless tribal zone. United States officials say Pakistan's tribal belt provides sanctuary to Taliban fighting in Afghanistan, Al-Qaeda groups plotting attacks on the West, Pakistani Taliban who routinely bomb Pakistan and other foreign fighters.

What a shame! The nation has nuclear armed forces and they have been challenged / attacked and killed by internal and external militants. I have question with defense ministry please tell me what you guys have done to ensure the safety and security on boarder?

What a shame! All the political parties are doing politician on the resources of the country and they are generating racism among the people and dividing them into different races and groups.
A country resources does not belong to one person or one city or one province. They are for welfare and prosperity of every single citizen of Pakistan. I have a question with every single politician please tell me what you guys have done to make our nation prosperous?
