Pak-India Secy talks over: Pakistan offers joint probe on Mumbai attacks

New Delhi: Pakistan has offered India for joint investigation over Abu Jandal’s role in Mumbai attacks and said that no state actor of agency was involved in the attacks.
In a joint media briefing at Hyderabad house after secretary level talks between both the countries, Jalil Abbas Jilani, Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary, said; “Whatever evidence India has should be shared with us and we will investigate the matter. We are even willing to offer joint investigation into the whole affair but finger-pointing won’t help,” said Pakistan’s Jaleel Abbas Jilani.
He said that terrorism was a joint problem for the both the South Asian countries and the region, adding that Pakistan and India should not blame each other for the terrorism.
He said that they reviewed progress on peace and security during the talks.
Indian Foreign Secretary Ranjan Mathai said that that they had comprehensive talks with Pakistan on terror and other matters.
Mathai has said that during talks with his Pakistani counterpart, Abu Jundal was discussed.
“I emphasised that bringing the guilty to justice in the Mumbai attacks would be the biggest confidence-building measure,” Mathai said.
