Veteran actor and theatre artist Shabana Azmi, tells TOI that she has reached a different stage in her film career. Excerpts from the interview...
Upcoming projects...
I have wrapped up the shoot for Mira Nair's Reluctant Fundamentalist. It is a very tiny part but the character is pivotal to the plot. At this stage of my career, I have the freedom to choose what I want. I have also completed the shoot of Deepa Mehta's Midnight's Children and Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola.

On Farhan and Zoya Akhtar...
They have made a name for themselves in their industry. They have never stooped to vulgarity or double entendres and they have made us proud.
The Censor Board has finally cleared Vidya Balan's The Dirty Picture for primetime viewing on television with some additional cuts...
We live in a liberal society today. As long as it is not shown at the time when children view television, I don't see anything wrong with it. Children have access to all kind of information these days. Why blame TV alone?
